Talent Development Manager

We’re looking for a Talent Development Manager to build and embed a culture of learning that empowers our colleagues to grow, thrive, and gain the skills and confidence to make #everydayremarkable for the people we support

Role: Talent Development Manager

Location: Hybrid – working from our Cardiff office with the option to work from home and other Cartrefi office locations.  Some travel to our other offices across Wales is also required.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £50.000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

What you’ll do

  • Create a learning and development culture across Cartrefi ensuring all our colleagues have the skills, confidence and opportunities to make #everydayremarkable for the people we support.
  • Shape and implement talent development strategies to support our ‘Bright Futures’ People Strategy.
  • Lead our learning and development team, enabling them to perform to their full potential and supporting their professional development.
  • Work with our senior leaders to plan for future talent development, identifying skills gaps, supporting succession planning and implementing solutions to overcome current and future skills challenges
  • Design and facilitate engaging and inclusive in-house L&D solutions that meet organisational and sector requirements
  • Embed a coaching approach to our colleagues’ development across Cartrefi
  • Review current learning and development systems to ensure a robust L&D infrastructure and explore how new technology can enhance our colleague’s learning experience
  • Evaluate the impact of L&D initiatives through data and other appropriate measurements

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience of leading and managing an L&D team
  • Appropriate CIPD or Leadership & Management qualification
  • Experience of embedding organisation wide L&D solutions
  • Experienced in the design, delivery and embedding of organisation wide projects
  • Strong and engaging communication skills to communicate to all roles across the organisation
  • Ability to deliver and embed initiatives with opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Passionate about continuous personal and professional development for all

Other requirements

  • Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle -there will be a requirement to travel throughout Wales to other Cartrefi offices, therefore, the use of a car with appropriate business insurance will be required
