Community Involvement and Evaluation Lead

We’re looking for a passionate and driven individual to join Cartrefi Cymru as our Community Involvement and Evaluation Lead.

You’ll lead on research, evaluation, and evidence generation while championing meaningful community involvement for our colleagues and the people they support.

At Cartrefi, we are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilled and enriched lives in the community and you will play a vital role in supporting us to do this.

Role: Community Involvement and Evaluation lead

Location: Hybrid – working from our Cardiff office with the option to work from home and other Cartrefi office locations.  Some travel to our other offices across Wales is also required.

Hours: 22.5 hours a week

Salary: Salary of £28,580  for 22.5 hours a week (full time equivalent salary: £47,000)

Contract: One year fixed term contract to be reviewed and extended depending on budget and the meeting of success criteria.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll gather, analyse and report evidence clearly and accurately, sharing what you learn about community involvement so the organisation can improve.
  • You’ll build confidence in new tools and ways of working by coaching colleagues, supporting reflective practice and creating consistent processes that people can rely on.
  • You’ll work alongside people we support and colleagues in a supportive, strengths-based way ensuring stories and data are gathered sensitively and used to celebrate what matters to people.
  • You’ll promote choice, accessibility and inclusion in community opportunities, valuing different interests and aspirations and ensuring connections are reciprocal and appropriate.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in research, evaluation or data‑informed project work 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into practical action 
  • Experience of community development, partnership building and added social value work 
  • Ability to design and deliver training, guidance and resources to colleagues 
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing and use for evidence for impactful case studies 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and roles  
  • Experience working in social care, community services or voluntary sector settings. 

Other requirements

  • Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle - there will be a requirement to travel throughout Wales to other Cartrefi Cymru offices, therefore, the use of a car with appropriate business insurance will be required
